US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is holding a media briefing in Tokyo on Friday (Aug 5), her first since the joint press conference with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen two days ago.

Tokyo is the final stop of Pelosi’s tour of the Asia-Pacific. This media briefing comes just hours after Japan lodged a protest with China over missiles landing in Japan’s exclusive economic zone. China is conducting massive live-fire exercises around Taiwan, in response to Pelosi’s controversial trip.
