Nissan’s development of innovative technology in rare-earth element (REEs) recycling is helping us reduce our dependence on new material resources to zero.
Testing alongside researchers at Waseda University shows that this newly developed recycling process for electric vehicle motors can recover 98% of a motor’s rare-earth elements. Additionally, it reduces the recovery process and work time by approximately 50% compared to the current method.
Towards a carbon neutral future, we will continue to seek out ways to use limited and valuable resources as effectively as possible.
